33) Mr. Mom – Lonestar

The guys in Lonestar were one of the most successful acts in country music for a ten year or so period from 1995 to 2005. The final hit from the big four in the group was the tune Mr. Mom. The song is about a guy that gets laid off from his job and decides to stay home and take care of the kids while his wife heads out to earn the bacon. What could be so tough about taking care of the kids at home? The guy learns all too soon that being Mr. Mom is no walk in the kitchen. Usually it's the country boys that have the big 4-wheel drive trucks, but in Toby Keith's 1995 hit Big 'Ol Truck it was a lady that had the big truck. Baby Likes To Rock It and its next line Like A Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train were the catchiest lyrics of 1994. We only live once so why not take as much as you can while you're able? Black mentioned everything under the sun that had to do with borrowing and owing cash and he did it perfectly. His wife finally gets fed up and tells him she's going to turn their house into a local watering hole so he can stay home and do his drinking instead of leaving her all the time. 21) Ticks – Brad Paisley

Brad Paisley released Ticks in 2007. Paisley played the song for his boss Joe Galante and Joe thought the song was quirky enough yet smart enough to become a major hit. Once people got past over-thinking Ticks they realized the song was all tongue-in-cheek and 100% fun with no ill regards at all. The Oak Ridge Boys have been racking up tons of number one hits over their career. Despite having numerous signature songs there is perhaps not one that is more recognized than Elvira. 17) John Deere Green – Joe Diffie

John Deere has been part of country music living for a long time. Brad Paisley is back on the list of funny country songs again. This time the song is Online. The tune pokes fun at the cliche computer nerd that sits in his mom's basement doing a little online dating. The common expectation is that people lie about their appearance and experience with their online profiles. The song came to life with Seinfeld's Jason Alexander as the main character. My favorite part of the video is when the character actually finds love based on his real life persona rather than his online personality. It's a little reminder that there is someone out there for all of us. There is no reason to tell some white lies about ourselves online…even if it can make for a hilarious country song.

15) Vidalia – Sammy Kershaw

It only reached #10 on the country charts, but Sammy Kershaw's Vidalia had lasting impact on the country music world. The song is a funny story about a girl named by using part of each of her parent's names. Violet and Dale put together their names and came up with Vidalia. They failed to realize that they had named their daughter after a delicious onion. The hook of the song is that Vidalia always makes the narrator cry. The catchy melody and sing along chorus make for one of the most memorable and fun songs in country music history. Sammy still tours the country singing and Vidalia remains one of the biggest hits of each show.

Right around the mid '00s Craig Morgan started finding his niche in country music. The singer with a lot of drive and twang was coming off his first number one hit when he followed it up with the funny country song Redneck Yacht Club. The song made it all the way to #2 on the charts and had country fans laughing the entire time as Craig sang about enjoy a few summer days out on the lake with friends. The song relates to so many and it always brings a smile to the face of country fans. That is why it's the number one funny country song.
